Join Shaver’s Creek staff Alexa Sarussi for a free, in-person, and socially distanced morning of nature journaling. This month’s Community Nature Journaling focus will be… a visit to Penn State’s Buckhout Greenhouse!
Step out of the chilly winter weather and into the lush Buckhout Greenhouse on Penn State’s University Park campus for Community Nature Journaling! We’ll be surrounded by greenery and blooms, and participants will even be able to bring home a free plant!
This session will introduce participants to diverse nature journaling techniques. It will culminate with sharing our learnings and reflecting together. All ages, families, and individuals are welcome. We encourage parents to bring children who express genuine interest in nature drawing and to monitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant. Please be aware that masking is required during the indoor portion of this event.
Participants will meet on Penn State’s University Park campus and are responsible for their own transportation; exact meeting location and parking information will be shared via email after registration.
Registration is capped at 20 participants.
