SUMMARY:A Special Autumn Night Walk!
DESCRIPTION:Get to know the animals that wake up when you go to sleep! Join
  Shaver’s Creek naturalist\, Eva Hirsch\, and Long-Term Ecological Refle
 ctions Project writer\, Rebecca Hirsch\, for a free exploration of the noc
 turnal world geared toward kids. The session will start with a reading of 
 Rebecca's picture book\, Night Creatures: Animals That Swoop\, Crawl\, an
 d Creep while You Sleep. Participants will learn how owls and other noctur
 nal animals use sound to navigate the night. Then\, we’ll take a night w
 alk on one of the trails. Bring a pair of sturdy shoes\, weather-appropria
 te clothing\, and your curiosity about the world of the night!\nThis event
  will take place at Shaver's Creek. When you arrive\, someone will greet 
 you outside the visitor center. Please be aware that masking is required
 . You will be asked to sign a participation waiver. \nRegister at: shaver
