DESCRIPTION:Join Shaver’s Creek staff Alexa Sarussi for a free\, in-per
 son morning of nature journaling.\nWe will meet at the Penn State Center f
 or Virtual/Material Studies (CVMS) for February's Community Nature Journal
 ing session. Sarah K. Rich\, art history professor and CVMS director\, wil
 l share her work with us as we explore the connections between insects and
  natural inks and dyes. We'll be journaling galls\, the insects that creat
 e them\, and insects that are used for other dyes. You'll even have the op
 tion to use real oak gall ink as a medium for your writing and drawing!\nT
 his session will introduce participants to diverse nature journaling techn
 iques. It will culminate with sharing our learnings and reflecting togethe
 r. All ages\, families\, and individuals are welcome. We encourage parents
  to bring children who express genuine interest in nature drawing and to m
 onitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult
