 n\, and socially distanced morning of nature journaling. August’s Commun
 ity Nature Journaling focus will be… Milkweed\, Monarchs and More!\nEarl
 y fall is a great time to explore Shaver’s Creek’s milkweed patch and 
 meadow! Jon Kauffman\, our Citizen Science Coordinator\, will share inform
 ation about monitoring monarchs\, and participants may even have a chance 
 to tag and release butterflies! Join our growing nature journaling communi
 ty to draw and write about these seasonal visitors as they prepare for a 3
 \,000 mile migration to southwestern Mexico this fall.\nThis session will 
 introduce participants to diverse nature journaling techniques while explo
 ring Shaver’s Creek. It will culminate with sharing our learnings and re
 flecting together. All ages\, families\, and individuals are welcome. We e
 ncourage parents to bring children who express genuine interest in nature 
 drawing and to monitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompan
