DESCRIPTION:Did you know that Wood Frogs and Spring Peepers are able to fre
 eze in the winter and then thaw once it gets warmer in the spring? Their b
 odies produce an anti-freeze substance that prevents their cells from bein
 g damaged during their frozen state! Learn more about these amphibians and
  how frogs can help us understand the health of their environment.  \nTh
 is Science Saturday program will consist of an informational presentation 
 with an indoor activity\, followed by a nature walk to visit nearby frog b
 reeding ponds.  \nWe will meet in the Weidemann Bookstore and Gift Shop i
 n our visitor center at the start of the program. All ages\, families\, an
 d individuals are welcome. Youth participants must be accompanied by an ad
 ult participant. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Please be awa
 re that masking is required during the indoor portion of this event.\nRegi
 ster\nRegistration is limited to 20 participants.\nThis event is free and 
 open to the public thanks to the generous support of Shaver’s Creek mem
 bers.
