 sey Mountain Golden Eagle Watch (weather dependent)\nMid-March is known fo
 r observing one of the most unmistakable and elusive birds in Central Penn
 sylvania\, the Golden Eagle. With counts reaching an average of 190 each s
 pring\, hawkwatchers flock to Tussey to observe the highest concentration 
 of migrating Golden Eagles on the east coast.  \nJoin Jon Kauffman at Sha
 ver’s Creek for an introduction to spring raptor migration and identific
 ation\, particularly Golden Eagles! Following the program\, participants w
 ill have the option to migrate to the official Hawkwatch on Tussey Mountai
 n in hopes of observing northbound eagles as well as other raptors and enj
 oying the scenic views from the ridge. Pack a lunch to enjoy at Shaver’s
  Creek before heading to the watch. Please dress according to the weather 
 as temperatures can be 5 - 10°F cooler and winds may be blowing at the wa
 tch. Extra water and sturdy shoes or hiking boots are recommended.\nPre-re
 gistration is preferred. The event is free\; however\, we will accept dona
 tions.
