DESCRIPTION:Do you have interest in learning and participating in a statewi
 de citizen science project in your own backyard\, nearby park\, or in the 
 classroom? Pennsylvania Amphibian and Reptile Survey (PARS) needs your hel
 p! Whether you’re a skilled scientist or an amateur naturalist\, your si
 ghtings are important in understanding the distribution and status of all 
 amphibians and reptiles throughout Pennsylvania.  \nJoin Jon Kauffman at 
 Shaver’s Creek for an in-depth view on how to find\, record\, and submit
  your observations of cold-blooded creatures in Pennsylvania. Participants
  will gain a better understanding of how PARS is conducted followed\, then
 \, by an exploration of Shaver’s Creek front pond and surrounding trails
  for any amphibians and reptiles. Please bring a flashlight and dress acco
 rding to the weather as this will be a rain or shine event.\nAll ages welc
 ome. Pre-registration is preferred. The event is free thanks to the suppor
 t of our members\; however\, we will accept donations.
