SUMMARY:Science Saturday: Myths and Facts about Bats
DESCRIPTION:Did you know that bats are not actually blind? Contrary to the 
 popular phrase "blind as a bat\," bats have excellent vision and are even 
 able to see where there is little light available.\nLearn more about these
  nocturnal flying mammals with this Science Saturday program! We’ll shar
 e about natural history\, conservation opportunities\, and current researc
 h related to Pennsylvania’s bats.\nWe will meet in the Weidemann Booksto
 re and Gift Shop in our visitor center at the start of the program. This p
 rogram consists of a presentation with activities and a guided nature walk
 . Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant. Please d
 ress appropriately for the weather as we will spend time outside. All ages
 \, families\, and individuals are welcome.\nRegister\nRegistration is limi
 ted to 20 participants.\nThis event is free and open to the public thanks 
 to the generous support of Shaver’s Creek members.
