DESCRIPTION:In our increasingly virtual world\, kids are playing outside le
 ss than ever before… and the effects are apparent! Discover how the natu
 ral world offers the perfect environment for children to build strong bodi
 es\, minds\, and senses.\n\nThe second workshop of the Human Nature Series
 \, Using Nature as a Tool for Childhood Development\, will be held this Su
 nday\, April 14\, here at Shaver’s Creek. Guest speakers will include Su
 e Ashead from Timbernook of Central Pennsylvania\, a nature-based developm
 ental program for children\, and Little Growers\, a group started by a loc
 al little girl that is focused on getting kids outside and enjoying nature
 !\n\n\n \nThe workshop will start at 1 pm with short presentations from o
 ur guests\, nature walks led by kids for kids\, and lots of time to be cre
 ative and play freely in nature. Bring your kids and learn how outdoor pla
 y builds strong\, healthy\, and happy children! Come prepared to be outsid
 e — outdoor fun can be had rain or shine!\n\nThis series of public works
 hops will help our community to understand the countless benefits of conne
 cting our health to the natural world and give attendees the opportunity t
 o expand their toolbox for using nature to build a healthier life.\nRegist
 ration for this program is appreciated. The event is free thanks to the su
 pport of our members\; however\, we will accept donations.
