Arnold, Lexi (Pine)

ODS was the first time I ever felt like I truly belonged somewhere, and that feeling continued through my years at Shaver’s Creek. SC taught me that I can accomplish anything, and there will always be support by my side.

Years at Shaver’s Creek: 2017–2024

Positions Held: Outdoor School, Block/SEED Semester, Summer Camp, Work Study Student

Current Company/Organization: University of Vermont

I am currently in graduate school at UVM studying counseling. I’ve always valued authenticity, compassion, kindness, and hard work. Shaver’s Creek taught me that these values are also tools that can be used in my life and work to make an impact on those around me. Particularly through my experiences at camp, I learned that showing up and being myself will always be enough. And by doing just that, I can teach others that they can live as their authentic selves too. I will forever be grateful for the place and people that helped me to be comfortable and confident in my own skin.
