It’s impossible to think about my Penn State experience and not include Shaver’s Creek. A piece of serenity for most people that get to encounter such a special place like the creek!

Shaver’s Creek shaped me into the man I am today. The supporting cast of lovely people you get to work with every day is so reassuring and makes you want to be successful in your field. I use tactics I learned at Shaver’s Creek almost every day, whether it’s identifying what’s flying in the air, what type of tree I’m looking at, or relaying the message and importance of preserving special places like Shaver’s Creek for the enjoyment of others after us. I’m happy to say I’m working with Eocene Environmental Group as an integrated vegetation management technician. I collect environmental data, conduct field assessments, and collaborate with other organizations to provide solutions for environmental challenges.
