Where to begin! For me, it truly starts from my start! Shaver’s Creek, the people, and their values have made me into who I am. I feel so lucky that I have connected to it across different stages of life.

Current Company/Organization: Shelburne Farms
I am currently living in Burlington, Vermont, and working in the cheese department at Shelburne Farms. I couldn’t have ever guessed that I would be working with cheese or any kind of food. It was the farm and its mission that intrigued me while looking for an internship in RPTM. There just happened to be an opening as an entry level cheesemaking and processing assistant, and I had a feeling I could make the internship work while starting in that role.
I knew I wanted my next place of work after Shaver’s Creek to have similar values. I hoped I would find a place where people are passionate, kind, wise, and patient because of those who I grew up knowing at the center. I wanted to be proud of where I work and to be somewhere my family was excited to see me. 🙂
I am very grateful to say I have found a similar energy that surrounds Shaver’s Creek here in Vermont and particularly at Shelburne Farms. I believe all of my experience at the center—from a curious camper to working in the woods—led me here and will continue to guide me to whatever’s next!
