Shaver’s Creek helped shape my vision of what a career could be as a student and then called me back home 10 years ago to bring that journey full circle. Forever grateful to my mentors here! I love you all!

I am currently interim executive director at Shaver’s Creek. I am doing my best to help this place I love get to the next executive director leadership. This place gave so much to me in my early career, and I am glad I have the opportunity to give back in this way.
When I left Penn State/Shaver’s Creek in the late ’90s, I headed to New England to be an outdoor education nomad. I bounced around several organizations throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. Both my girls were born in New Hampshire, and I eventually found myself enjoying my adventures at High 5 Adventure in Brattleboro, VT, as the director of training and team development. I never imagined I would return to Pennsylvania.
In 2016, Shaver’s Creek called me home. I excitedly took on the role of team development program director. In the past ten years, I was given lots of opportunity to grow here and became an associate director 6 years ago, eventually being asked to step in as interim director this past year.
Both my girls are now enrolled at Penn State and I live an amazing life in State College with my fiancée and our kids! WE ARE!
