I asked Doug if my nature name could be Hellbender. He said no, and I chose Whirligig. My time at Shaver’s Creek is full of amazing, funny, and enlightening memories. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

I live in State College with my husband, Rod Lee (also a Shaver’s Creek alum), and our two children. I currently work as a recreation supervisor with Centre Region Parks & Recreation. My time at Shaver’s Creek has been incredibly influential throughout my career. I learned some of the best camp songs and group games, and—most importantly—the value of fostering an inclusive, positive culture in the workplace and among staff.
