I am now a food safety and quality assurance supervisor specializing in the harvest floor at a top-5 pork processor in the US. I am blessed to be able to teach others and educate those around me on a daily basis on the animals that we process.
I grew up in teen leadership through 4-H and FFA, and I am so grateful to have called Outdoor School home for 3 semesters of guiding little ones and meeting new friends. This experience taught me how to be an educator in an environment where there are so many different minds and different styles of learning. Adapting my teaching style is key in my day-to-day as I train new hires on animal handling and drive major projects surrounding animal welfare.
