Being a part of Shaver’s Creek really prepared me to work with students of all ages. Having the hands-on experience in the classroom, on the trails, and side-by-side with some of the best mentors a young professional could ask for was the best jump start I could have been given before getting into the environmental education field. Outdoor School was one of the best experiences I had in recent years, and I wish I could go back to myself in college and tell him to do it. Thank you so much to all of the resident wildlife, fellow interns, and incredible staff for their impact, and may the next 50 years of impact be just as grand!
