Have a Fun Day
Years at Shaver’s Creek: 1986–1990
Positions Held: Intern, Outdoor School, Block/SEED Semester, Volunteer, Troubadour, Storyteller, Trail Mower, Learner, Instructer, Tree Hugger, and Nature Lover
Current Company/Organization: Recreation and Parks Regional Advisor, PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources
When I came to Shaver’s Creek and Stone Valley, all I knew was that I loved living and working and playing and hiding in the woods. When I left, I knew there was much more that needed to be done in the world so that there would be natural places for people of all walks of life to recreate and enjoy.
Now, it is my sincere pleasure to help people, communities, municipalities, nonprofits, and other partners throughout North Central PA achieve their recreation and conservation vision. As a regional advisor in the Bureau of Recreation and Conservation in the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR), I provide technical assistance and assist with grants, helping to fund things like parks, pools, playgrounds, plans, and acquisition of properties. I have deep gratitude for the guidance and opportunities that laid the foundation for me at Shaver’s Creek.
