Anderson, Jen (Prism)

Change is the only constant.

This quote is often attributed to Heraclitis, but I attribute it to Corky Potter. He shared this wisdom with me in our very first one-on-one conversation in August 1997.

Shaver’s Creek has been deeply ingrained in my life for more than half my life. I have found and been given opportunities a little girl who loved feeding the chipmunks could never have dreamed of! From engaging in meaningful conversations with many, many beautiful people to observing wild animals up close (even in my hands or on my glove) to inspiring college students to find their connections to themselves, each other ,and the natural world, my path at Shaver’s Creek has been a rich gift.

Shaver’s Creek has been (and, I expect, will continue to be) my entire professional career AND where I have found friendship and joyfully raised my boys, where my love of interrelationships and nature have been nurtured and where I can express my creativity. I am full of gratitude.

Every day is a woven tapestry of professional development and using skills that I have learned.

My life at Shaver’s Creek continues to unfold…still no two days are the same! What opportunities will be around the next bend? I look forward to walking that road of discovery being fully open to possibility.
