I’m still not sure how I found myself as a counselor at Outdoor School my first semester of college, but I am so grateful that I did as it changed the trajectory of my career and life. From a few sessions of ODS to annual festivals to becoming an intern, Shaver’s Creek deepened my nature connection and love for experiential education. While I spent a few years in the K–5 science classroom, I am now back in university outreach at UNC Charlotte.
