Swoop into the Aerie Classroom and learn “owl” about these fascinating nocturnal birds! During Owltober, join one of our naturalists on select Saturday afternoons from 1–2 p.m. for drop-in, hands-on activities all about owls.
Discover what’s on an owl’s menu by dissecting a real, sterilized barn owl pellet, explore our owl “HOOseum” featuring feathers, talons, replica eggs and bones, and other owl-themed artifacts, and learn how owls are specially adapted for life as skilled nighttime hunters. Younger visitors can also enjoy owl-themed coloring activities.
When the program ends at 2:00 p.m., head over to the Klingsberg Aviary to continue your owl adventure during our Meet the Creek program and meet some real owls!
