Join Shaver’s Creek staff Alexa Sarussi for a free, in-person morning of nature journaling at Laurel Spring Cidery in Spring Mills, PA!
Laurel Spring Cidery is a family-owned operation on a sprawling property with views of the Mount Nittany ridgeline. We’ll start with an orientation to the history of the land and the cider-making process from David All, the creative driver behind the cidery. Then we’ll wander to journal amongst the hillside apple orchard with 27 varieties of apples, the historic barn and log home, or the garden nooks scattered throughout.
Alcohol consumption will not be included in the program, but the cidery’s tasting room will be open noon–6:00 p.m., and participants are welcome to linger as long as they’d like after the program’s conclusion.
All ages, families, and individuals are welcome. We encourage parents to bring children who express genuine interest in nature drawing, but ask that they monitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant.
