PAEE is almost upon us!

It's that time of year again – where teachers, naturalists, administrators, students, and environmental education professionals gather for one conference: the Pennsylvania Association of Environmental Educators (PAEE) conference, titled: "Earth: The Educator's Manual."  Shaver's Creek staff have been helping to prepare an exceptional event.

Expect workshops and presentations on citizen science, engaging diverse audiences, using storytelling as a teaching tool, how to achieve zero waste at your facility, wildlife forensics and more.  Other highlights include storyteller Jim Hamilton, a panel discussion on Marcellus Shale, and a performance by local band Dreams & Bones.

Dr. Richard Alley, Evan Pugh Professor of Geosciences at Penn State, and host of PBS documentary "Earth: The Operator's Manual" will act as the keynote speaker.  His down-to-earth approach to addressing environmental issues serves as inspiration for all of the presentations at the conference.

The conference will be taking place from Friday, March 16 through Saturday, March 17, 2012.  Join us for an abundance of ideas, solutions, and inspiration for learning about Earth!  More information, including registration materials, can be found at http://www.paee.net.
