Shaver’s Creek is hosting a native plant sale for home gardeners and plant enthusiasts. The sale starts on Saturday, April 30, and will continue throughout the week during regular hours for as long as plants last. Native plants not only look beautiful in your garden, they also provide food and habitat for native insects and birds! Plus, these are all perennial varieties so they’ll keep coming back year after year. We will be offering 22 different species, sourced from Tait Farm and North Creek. This is part of a collaboration with Leslie Pillen, associate director, Farm and Food Systems; and Penn State student Brianna Huber as part of an independent study with the Sustainable Food Systems program. We thank them for their support!
This event is free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of Shaver’s Creek members.
