The Shaver’s Creek Under the Stars (and Planets) program will be held on Friday, October 11 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Volunteer Carolyn Muse will offer an indoor slide show that will showcase the well-known year-round and fall constellations in our local nighttime skies. She will then take everyone outdoors to identify the constellations and determine if any planets are among our stars.
Bring a flashlight, dress for the weather and bring sturdy footwear. If the weather is cloudy or rainy/stormy, the alternate date for this event is Saturday, October 12 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. The program is FREE to members, and $5.00/person for non-members. Pre-registration is necessary. Thank you to our members for supporting public programs! This program is recommended for ages 8 and up.
