Ahead of this year’s Maple Harvest Festival, our weekend programming will be all about maple sugaring! Whether you are unable to attend the festival or you just want a jump-start on your sugaring knowledge, you can join us Saturdays and Sundays in March to experience an abridged version of our classic festival.
We will walk along the maple trail, learn how to identify sugar maples in winter, and learn how sap has been tapped, collected, and boiled throughout history. We won’t be collecting or boiling any sap in this program, but there will be opportunities to see the tools used and peek inside the Sugar Shack!
This program is free and designed for all ages. Tickets are not required for this drop-in program. Be sure to dress for the weather.
Please note that this program is different from the Maple Harvest Festival. Tickets are required to attend Shaver’s Creek during the Maple Harvest Festival on Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23.
