Join Shaver’s Creek staff Alexa Sarussi for a free, in-person morning of nature journaling.

A greenhouse in a field with flowers blooming in front of itJoin us at Plowshare Produce, a small, organic vegetable farm in McAlevy’s Fort, to appreciate the abundance of the summer season! Goats, chickens, greens, and flowers are just a few of the subjects you could choose to journal in the open fields or shaded hedgerows of this community-supported and family-run farm. Bring a packed lunch for an optional picnic after our formal program time for more community connection in this idyllic setting.

This session will introduce participants to diverse nature journaling techniques. It will culminate with sharing our learnings and reflecting together. All ages, families, and individuals are welcome. We encourage parents to bring children who express genuine interest in nature drawing and to monitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant.
