Community Nature Journaling

Join Shaver’s Creek staff members Alexa Sarussi and Olivia Stas for a free, in-person, and socially distanced morning of nature journaling. June’s Community Nature Journaling focus will be… Wood Turtles!

We’ll head out to the beautiful creek along our Twin Bridges trail to explore the species’ habitat, and we’ll have a chance to meet Shaver’s Creek’s Wood Turtle for some close observation of a live specimen. Join us to draw and write while connecting to nature and your community.

This session will introduce participants to diverse nature journaling techniques while exploring the trails around Shaver’s Creek. The session will culminate with sharing our learnings and reflecting together. All ages, families, and individuals are welcome. We encourage parents to bring children who express genuine interest in nature drawing and to monitor their behavior. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant.

Learn more and register at: shaverscreek.org/journal
Registration is capped at 20 participants.

This event is free and open to the public thanks to the generous support of Shaver’s Creek members.
