Is your family looking for a fun outdoor activity this summer? The Augmented and Mobile Learning research group, part of Penn State’s College of Education, is looking for research participants to test an outdoor educational app about pollinators at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center.

Researchers will be at Shaver’s Creek recruiting families to test the Pollinator Explorers app on the following dates:
August 16th, from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
August 19th, from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
August 21st, from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
August 22nd, from 10 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Pre-registration is not required. Please meet the researchers in the Outdoor Classroom (the large picnic pavilion). The research is canceled in case of rain.

Study participation includes two short interviews and the completion of a demographic survey in addition to testing the app using a researcher-provided iPad and GoPro. The research will take approximately 40-60 minutes. Eligible families will receive a $20 electronic Amazon gift card after fully participating in any one of the individual participation dates.
