Did you know that bats are not actually blind? Contrary to the popular phrase “blind as a bat,” bats have excellent vision and are even able to see where there is little light available.

Learn more about these nocturnal flying mammals with this Science Saturday program! We’ll share about natural history, conservation opportunities, and current research related to Pennsylvania’s bats.

We will meet in the Weidemann Bookstore and Gift Shop in our visitor center at the start of the program. This program consists of a presentation with activities and a guided nature walk. Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult participant. Please dress appropriately for the weather as we will spend time outside. All ages, families, and individuals are welcome.
